Document History

This article will break down the new Document History section on e-Clinic and the changes that have been made

There has been an update to the Document History which has changed the aesthetic and functionality of this area. It now looks like this:

Folders can be created by using the 'Home' area on the left, clicking the '+' button will create a new folder. The name of the folder can be edited using the 🖉 symbol. You can also create sub folders within an existing folder using the '+' symbol on an existing folder.

Any documents / communications that are added or sent out to the patient will be stored here:

You can upload local files to your patient's records using the 'Attach a file' area at the bottom of the documents, clicking on this will open your computers local folders for you to select a file.

Columns that show a '⇵' can be clicked to sort the files in the Document History by either ascending or descending order.

The name of the file and description associated with it can be edited by clicking the '🖉' symbol on the same line of the file, simply enter in the changes you need and select the '✓' symbol to save them. If you don't want the changes you've made to save press the '✖' symbol to remove them.

Pressing the '👁' symbol will allow you to view the document. If it has been uploaded through a local computer it will download the file on through your web browser and save it locally. If the file was created within e-clinic it will open in the file editor on e-clinic.

Pressing the '✖' beside the eye will fully remove the file from the Document History.

Pressing the '⋮' will allow you to drag the file from the 'Home' file area and place it into one of the custom folders you have created.

Finally you can navigate through the patient's Document History if they have a large number of files using the arrows below, you can also set how many files you wish for it to show in one list:
